Last month my family had a birthday lime in Blanchisseuse, Trinidad. We took the stand up paddle boards too see what adventures we could have, and boy did we have a good time. We have all hiked the Marianne river before to get to three pools water fall, but could we sup to it. Running into some friends at the mouth of the river we were told there was no way we would get there. Going up took a bit long as we had to carry the boards on the really shallow sections till we reached the main pool. On our way back though it was a roller coaster ride, nose riding on our boards and just have an absolute great time. Here is a fun video showing some of our adventure.
See if you can spot Brett trying to step over a fallen bamboo tree. It was a good laugh.
The Hallam’s are great friends of our family and decided to give Stand Up Paddle a try. We were blessed with a beautiful day on Pigeon point and everyone had a blast! http://www.standuppaddletobago.com

This month we had a group of soft adventure tour companies from the US come and give Stand Up Paddle a try. Our crew was made of a real mix of new friends from Dominican Republic to Israel. We did not see any rainbows but we discovered the pot of gold in the form of some floating cash in the middle of the ocean. I’m sure a few beers were drank that night! Thanks for coming guys!
Here are the photos of there day!
Marleis and Johanna are best buddies! Marleis is one of my long time friends and Johanna is new to the lime. Both were fast learners of Stand Up Paddle and had a great time. The after paddle photos on the beach were soo much fun to shoot. Thanks for coming! http://www.standuppaddletobago.com
Here is a quick pic from today’s lesson. More pictures and video to come soon!
I met Anna-Lisa two weeks ago for one of her annual visits to Trinidad and Tobago. She is making a conscious effort to do lots of new adventurous activities. Having conquered the Kilimanjaro and visited some of Japan’s hidden islands, she is taking on Stand Up Paddle. Here is a snippet of her morning.
